Description

A highly successful NYC Investment Management firm is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Head of Tax to oversee all aspects of the company's global tax strategy. This position entails managing all tax planning, compliance, and reporting, ensuring that all processes are carried out accurately and in a timely manner. The incumbent will also be tasked with monitoring changes in tax law, leading the global tax team, and providing strategic counsel on tax implications to senior management.

Key responsibilities:

Develop and execute a cohesive global tax strategy for the company.

Head all aspects of tax planning, compliance, and reporting, assuring meticulousness and promptness.

Direct and mentor the global tax team, offering support and guidance on tax matters across different jurisdictions.

Provide advice on tax implications of business transactions like mergers, acquisitions, divestitures.

Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors on intricate tax issues and audits.

Create tax-efficient models for international operations and transactions.

Ensure adherence to SOX and other regulatory protocols related to tax matters.

Offer expert tax advice to senior management on a range of US and international tax issues.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field

15+ years of experience

CPA required

Extensive knowledge of US GAAP, SEC reporting, SOX compliance

Exceptional leadership skills
