GCOM is looking for candidates, to fill a role of Expert IT Specialistto join our NYS Information Technology Services Team located in Albany, NY.
Key Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will be responsible for providing technical and management experience in leading this initiative. The responsibilities will include:
assist in prioritizing the design and development effort.oversee the design of each application to ensure it follows the strategic plan.Guide the design and development teams.ensure the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) is followed.coordinating technical solutions among various technical support groups.implementing technical solutions.
Mandatory Qualifications:
84+ Months: Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.
Desirable Qualifications:
84 Months experience acting as a project/release manager for application development projects throughout the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)84 Months experience collaborating with cross functional teams including Development, Quality Assurance, Infrastructure, and Database Administration to develop comprehensive release schedules and deployment plans.84 Months experience in facilitating and managing communication across both technical and non-technical stakeholders.84 Months experience with project quality planning, quality assurance, end-to-end system testing, quality control, user acceptance testing, defect, and metrics management.60 Months experience using project management tools such as MS-Project, JIRA, Kanban Boards and Agile methodologies.60 Months experience using (CI/CD) automation software and DevOps tools, such as Jenkins, Gitlab, Ansible
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. This includes, but is not limited to: skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and geographic location. At GCOM, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current hourly range is $52.00 to $62.00.
