Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Hardware Deployment Technician to join our team based out of Chantilly, VA.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Perform deployment, installation, training, and support of new Windows based computer systems.
Assist with the design of, configuration and support of computer systems and peripherals.
Coordinate with Warehouse Manager for inventory, hardware orders, equipment movement, and shipping needs.
Perform deployment activities to include, site surveys, escorting visitors, addressing help desk tickets, providing technical troubleshooting as needed, receiving local hardware shipments and responding to client taskers.
Analyze existing requirements and prepare specifications for hardware acquisitions.
Develop hardware installation schedules.
Prepare site installation reports.
Coordinate efforts such as are additionally in the scope of the work.
Job Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in Information Technology.
Commute to downtown Washington DC area work location.
Desktop support experience with workstations/peripherals and user account troubleshooting.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, effective decision-making.
Experience in Customer Service.
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 Productivity applications.
Must be able to travel at least 25%, domestic and internationally.
Education Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent.Preferred Qualifications:
One or more technical certifications (Comp TIA ITF+, A+, Network+, Security+, MS Endpoint Administrator, etc.) highly preferred.Security Clearance Requirements:
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret clearance.
A current and active Secret clearance strongly preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in stationary position for up to 50% of the time.
Must be able to deliver clear and effective communication both verbally and non-verbally to deliver updates; briefings; or interface with co-workers; leadership as well as customer.
Must be able to work in an office environment and be able to freely move within this space to utilize office equipment as well as interface with co-workers and customer.
Must be able to effectively use IT peripherals such as laptop, desktop, printer, fax machine, etc.
Must be able to deliver presentations as needed.
Must be able to review; decipher and understand program manuals; software/hardware manuals; training manuals; etc.
