Meraki’s IoT team is seeking a driven Hardware Engineer to join the Meraki Vision (MV) Hardware team, for a yearlong Coop. The MV product line is one of the most successful and fastest-growing, cloud managed security cameras in the market.
Program Overview:
As a Hardware Engineering Co-op within our team, your work will be focused around the future of Meraki’s MV camera products. Through these activities you will learn and practice skills required to work multi-functionally with a wide breadth of both HW and SW teams. You will scope and lead your own projects with a high level of autonomy under the mentorship of a close-knit engineering team.
What we’ll be working on:
• Technical investigations on camera subsystems such as sensors, audio, and power circuitry that will guide future product development
• Software scripting to automate our powerful image quality lab and conduct tests alongside camera professionals
• Standardization of test procedures for critical camera hardware blocks
• Providing recommendations to engineering and product leadership on competitive approaches by conducting teardowns, technology deep dives, and BOM analysis
You should have experience with, or be ready to learn:
• System level electrical architecture, common digital interfaces, schematic design, and board layout basics
• Bash and python scripting
• Camera and photography concepts such as shutter speed, aperture, ISO, white balance, etc.
• Analytic reporting and visual data representation
Are you someone who:
• Embraces complexity and turns it into manageable project tasks
