Unilever Food Solutions (ufs.com) is the foodservice division of Unilever, one of the most interesting markets to be a part of in the whole wide world (if you live food – and no, that’s not a typo). It leads the dynamic Food Service market with a range of exciting professional food brands such as Knorr, Hellmann’s and The Vegetarian Butcher to chefs across 22 Multi-Country Organizations (MCOs) in 72 countries.
Currently UFS still largely relies on sales reps visiting chefs to generate demand, which limits the pace of growth. Here a 360° customer journey that embodies the perfect combination of on- and offline communication offers a huge opportunity.
Time for action: we are evolving the business model and already developed a smart Lead Management flow to reach the 95% of operators we do not visit. Job description
As the Growth Marketing Specialist, you will be part of the bilingual Belgian Marketing Team and report to the Marketing Lead. In a nutshell, you are responsible for the Customer Journey and Performance Marketing within the Flemish and Walloon markets. By taking our 360° customer journey to the next step via smart digital marketing, you will help them engage with our brands and drive them towards sales, which will – in the end – result in a valuable long-term buying relationship.
You have a passion for growth and efficiency using data & insights. You can think in a creative and commercial way while at the same time understanding analytics & dashboarding. By doing this, you are able to connect business goals with technology/data development.
Key responsibilities
Customer Journey Lead
You get energised from smart customer journeys and are driven to lead customers through the ‘touch-tell-sell’ conversion funnel, from acquisition to retention. This translates in being the Project Manager of our Digital Selling opportunities.
You are the strategic owner of our loyalty programme Cook&Save and work closely on this project with the CRM & Automation Specialist
Your willingness to drive our business further results in being the overall Project Manager of all our cross-channel Digital Experiments
Performance Marketing
Your hands-on experience and interest in Paid Social and Paid Search, makes you challenge the external agencies we work with on campaign formats, assets and targeting set-ups
You are always on the lookout to test and implement new digital opportunities such as affiliate marketing or native advertising
Driven by your Test & Learn mindset, you constantly keep track of performance on KPI’s such as ROI/ROAS, CPA, CLV,... Based on data insights and reporting, you are the strategic developer and owner of our 360° customer journey, wherein you will work closely with our CRM & Marketing Automation Specialist.
Profile
You are entrepreneurial at heart
Passionate about food and have a strong interest in the food solutions business
You have 3-7 years of proven experience
An effective communicator, able to deal with multiple key stakeholders
Commercial and strategic mindset, result oriented and passionate for growth
Strong desire to push the status quo and test new approaches
Solid test & learn mindset
‘Life long learning’ drives your energy
Business savvy (understanding market and customer needs) and able to connect data/IT & business
Not afraid to take ownership and make sure the right solution goes into production
Able to provide clear objectives and deliverables, translated into dashboards
Profound knowledge of Paid Social and Paid Search (SEA and display)
Good knowledge of Dutch and English (French is a plus)
A good appetite, since we absolutely love food
