of Openings: 1Group Plant Controller needed at Grouper Wild, LLC d/b/a Shiloh Industries Hot Stamping, LLC in Galesburg, Michigan. Work from home permitted one day per week.
Duties include: mentor and oversee accounting personnel at assigned plant locations; recruit, develop and train accounting personnel, and train management personnel regarding accounting and finance activities and developments; review budget plan and trend forecast, and provide explanation of significant variances, including analysis of actual vs. budget or forecast for the respective plants; review month-end results and strategic planning to ensure profitability; provide analysis and recommendations for meetings and ad hoc requests; assist with quote reviews for sales opportunities; assist with tooling and capital appropriation requests to ensure proper support and payback methodology is in place; provide support for Internal Audit Division (IAD) to ensure compliance with policies and procedures; assist with Annual Operating Plan (AOP) process, focusing on continuous improvement; coordinate with supervisors and plant management team to ensure all parties have a clear understanding of plant financial performance; support continuous improvement initiatives and ensure projects are defined with clear financial objectives, and that results are tracked and reported. Req's: Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance/Financial Management, or closely related field of study, or equivalent foreign degree. 8 years of experience as a Controller, Accountant or in a closely related financial role. Must have five (5) years of work experience with each of the following: complying with GAAP guidelines; managing the preparation and analysis of annual financial statements; implementing measures of cost and profitability; using PLEX as an ERP system; and using Oracle-FCCS.
