Genesis10 is seeking a Graphic Designer for a contract with our client in Rochester, MN. Onsite 2 days a week. This position is part time - 20 hours a week. Job Description: The Designer receives direction from Division Chair, Section Head, and Unit Head/Art Director. May receive technical direction from project manager or more senior staff as assigned. Performs consulting tasks, acts as an information resource in a supportive role. Key Responsibilities: To design, direct, coordinate and produce visual materials for our client Foundation and the client affiliates in a variety of mediums including: books, magazines, brochures, physical displays, posters and electronic mediums including web design, electronic presentations, and multimedia products. The Designer is an integral team member who, in addition to their normal production activities, provides art direction, proof checks, outsourcing management, image manipulation, job bidding, and direct customer consultation. Required Basic Qualifications: Education: Minimum Education and/or Experience Required: (Education Requirements and Experience): Requires a Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Design Technology or related field from an accredited university, college or school of design. Two-year minimum employment experience required. (Portfolio required for review.) Incumbents must have a thorough knowledge of typography, type design, form and color theory, proportion and balance, photographic and computer imaging techniques, electronic layout skills, exhibit/display knowledge and experience with Unit specific software programs (see Unit specific competencies). Candidates must be flexible, resourceful, and possess strong project management and interpersonal skills while effectively meeting deadlines under pressure. Candidates must also be able work independently, give and receive clear and concise direction, and possess excellent problem solving skills.
