In this role, you will operate as a design SME, helping us improve brand consistency across the board and explore new avenues for both internal and external communication and design needs. The Graphic Designer partners cross-functionally with all departments of Plymouth Housing and will act as an advocate for marketing best practices while taking a consultative approach towards departmental goals.The right candidate for this role will bring Plymouth's brand to life across a range of print and digital media.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Concept and design high-impact print and digital media for web, social, events, marketing, fundraising, and internal communications, such as: Graphics for use on social media, in email marketing or on our websiteAnnual reportsDirect mailingsEvent signage and collateralPresentation decksWeekly internal newsletterOrganizational one-pagers and leave-behinds.Collaborate with other comms team members and stakeholders from across the org to establish the vision for new graphic design projects.Develop and present innovative options for design treatments while considering the constraints of cost and time.Manage rounds of revision and approval routing for graphic design projects.Ensure brand consistency across all marketing materials and communication channels.Maintain exacting standards through proofreading and version control to produce accurate and high-quality work.Work as part of the comms team to develop creative ideas and concepts that improve Plymouth visual identity across various channels and support the execution of multi-faceted campaigns.ESSENTIAL JOB QUALIFICATIONS:Expertise with Adobe Creative Cloud software.Rigorous attention to detail.Fluency in current graphic design trends and ability to communicate design decisions to stakeholders.Experience with brand design and strategy.Equity mindset with sensitivity to the role of communication design in advancing justice.Eagerness to envision and lead the implementation of a new design culture at Plymouth.DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Familiarity with Asana or similar project management toolUnderstanding of printing methods and print production with experience working directly with production vendorsExperience in nonprofit, cause-related or donor-centric marketingAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, or national origin.
