The Graphic Color Selector; also referred to as Color Picker isresponsible for accurately choosing the correct thread colors to use onembroidered orders by following company standards, account history andcolor matching. The Color Picker should have a good eye for color and anunderstanding of color theory. Accurate, timely completion of the dutiesof the Color Picker is an essential component in ensuring thatcompanywide goals of quality and on-time delivery are attained.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Choose thread colors based oncolor standards and account history while taking into account visualappeal based on our customer?s needs. Focus on reaching daily productiongoals by getting done at least 3-4 jobs per hour. Work on orders in atimely manner to ensure they are going into production before the BSSdate on the order. Ensure all order notes and details are followed toprevent returned products. Ensure account information, quantities, andproduct information follow the order sheet and that the correct file isused so that the production floor has all of the correct information toproduce the order. Participate in cross-training within the team tomaximize production and quality goals. Use color picking software toidentify threads used, order info, and correct digital file for theproduction department. Match color of PMS, digital or printed art toMadeira thread. Provide feedback to management. Additional duties asassigned. Marginal Job Functions: Run samples for approvals. Do onscreenapprovals with color picking software. Education and Experience: Highschool diploma required. Vocational School for graphic arts preferredAssociate?s Degree in the Arts preferred, but not required.Skills/Qualifications: Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator a plus but notrequired. Knowledge of other relevant computer software and systems.Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent electroniccommunication and functional ability. Ability to multi-task underpressure in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. Good problem solvingskills. Excellent attention to detail. Ability to meet deadlines.
