In this role, you will administer grants for a variety of divisions/teams within the Minnesota Department of Education. Your work will extend to assisting with grant application processes, plan development, state and/or federal requirements for grant management, as well as the ability to design and implement appropriate administrative functions and systems to support grant project implementation. Duties include:
Assuring compliance with administrative processes relating to legislatively-named, single source, or discretionary grant programs through the development and implementation of internal grant processes;
Providing technical assistance to grant recipients;
Developing and implementing systems for maintaining grant records, technical materials, budget information, program requirements and program reports.
Minimum Qualifications
2 years of professional experience as a grants manager
OR
A bachelor’s degree AND 1 year of professional experience as a grants manager.
Preferred Qualifications
Grants management experience within the government or education sectors;
Working knowledge of the statewide accounting system (SWIFT) or similar financial reporting systems;
Knowledge of state grant management policies and guidelines;
Knowledge of Sharepoint;
Experience working with grant recipients, grant applications, budgets, payments and monitoring;
