CLICK HERE to view the full job description and toapply!{target="_blank"rel="noopener noreferrer"} Position Summary The Kripalu Healing Arts(Spa) Director directs the Healing Arts Department in deliveringhigh-quality treatments and consultations that are in alignment with theKripalu approach to wellness and lifestyle. These modalities includetraditional bodywork as well as Positional Therapy, Energywork,Ayurvedic treatments and consultations, facials, and Metaphysicalservices. This position is responsible for the development of theHealing Arts team, both bodyworkers and administrative staff, to achievedepartmental objectives, including achievement of business/missionmetrics, high levels of guest satisfaction, and employee morale.Accountabilities Serves as a key member of the Leadership Team. Providesstrong leadership with dedication to training, mentoring, and motivatinga large team including supervisor, coordinator, therapists, andreception staff. Communicates strategic vision and direction in a waythat produces measurable results. Develops policies and procedures incollaboration with senior leadership that support the goals of thedepartment to generate sales, operate efficiently, provide excellentcustomer service, and build a positive work environment. Analyzes thebusiness and provides senior management with business plans and/orproposals that respond to business opportunities and risks. Strategizesthe growth of the department, bringing concepts to senior management,following through with actions. Develops and manages a budget of \$3million in revenue while maintaining profitability, optimizing expenses,and maintaining efficiency. Maintains strong relationships with allproduct and supply vendors, simplifying systems where possible andmaximizing resources. Identifies and collaborates with strategicpartners to expand Kripalu?s presence and impact in the world. Developsand implements exceptional, consistent, and reliable guest servicestandards, including setting and achieving measurable service benchmarksacross department. Analyzes customer feedback and provides strategicdirection to continuously improve overall guest experience. Work withKripalu directors on educating other departments about the programs,including front desk, reservations, healing arts and programming.Monitor industry trends and ensure Healing Arts training, methodology,and offered services remains aligned with strategic vision while alsoevolving and deepening. Ensures compliance with professional standardsand state and local licensing and regulations as they affect the areawithin the organization. Maintains and develops external relationshipswith local training organizations. Provides leadership and mentoring tostaff to support their successful development, execution of objectives,and development of harmonious team. Maintains and develops a culture ofbest practices in staff health and safety in conjunction with SafetyCommittee. Responsible for the safety of the guests and staff in case ofemergency. Maintains best practices for record retention and privacy inrelation to medical information, minor information, and consultationinformation, as related to Privacy Laws and Regulations. Essentialskills and experience BA and/or degree in Spa Management or relatedindustry 5 plus years managing a spa, healing arts center, or relatedhospitality area. Proven ability to lead to a large group of bothprofessional and guest services staff. Excellent computer skills,including Microsoft Office Suite Knowledge and experience of propertymanagement software Weekend, evening, and holiday availability Preferredexperience Knowledge of yoga and Ayurveda a plus
