The job of Grants Coordinator coordinates andoversees all district grants as well as seek and apply for new grants,including, but not limited to, the identification of potential newfunding sources, development of funding resources for existing andproposed programs and/or services, writing grants, developing budgets,collaborating on grant applications with various Districtdepartments/schools, community organizations, and processing, monitoringand coordinating required report evaluations on existing grants.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Monitors the financial management of grants (e.g., budgetpreparation, budget adjustments, expenditures, etc.) for the purposeof complying with all program and funding guidelines of awardingorganizations.Collaborates with internal and external personnel (e.g., Board,district administrators, principals, teachers, auditors, publicagencies, community members, etc.) for the purpose of implementingand/or maintaining services and programs.Research topics required to manage assignments (e.g., relevantpolicies, new federal and state statutes, staffing requirements,financial resources, education and school finance law, etc.) for thepurpose of developing new programs/services, ensuring compliancewith regulatory requirements, securing general information and/orresponding to requests.Oversees the planning, implementation, evaluation, and on-goingmonitoring of grants, and school improvement action plans (IAPs)within established time frames, coordinate departmental serviceswith and in compliance with related requirements.Facilitates meetings, workshops, seminars, etc. (e.g., personnelactions, financial procedures, regulatory requirements, actionsinvolving outside agencies, inter-district needs, departmentalaction plan, parent involvement/ education, etc.) for the purpose ofidentifying issues, developing recommendations, supporting otherstaff, and serving as a District representative.Manages a wide variety of grant related programs for the purpose ofensuring district compliance with established guidelines.Prepares a wide variety of materials (e.g., grants, Local EducationAgency Improvement Action Plan (IAP) ESSA plan, MOWR plans, grantbudgets, funding requests, reports, analyses, recommendations,procedures, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities andissues, meeting compliance requirements, providing audit references,making presentations, and/or providing supporting materials forrequested actions.Presents a wide variety of topics related to administrativeresponsibilities (e.g., financial information, grant writing, grantadministration, LEA IAP, ESSA, MOWR plans, overviews ofprograms/services, policies, and procedures, etc.) for the purposeof providing general information, training others, implementingactions, etc.Collaborates with a variety of parties (e.g., district personnel,community organizations, etc.) for the purpose of securing fundingto maintain and enhance services and/or programs.Coordinates all grant processes (e.g., writing, evaluations, budget,finance, reports, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring compliance withthe district and funder guidelines.Develops forms, processes, procedures, and policies for the purposeof implementing a consistent grant application methodology.Develops grant applications and related documents (e.g., requiredreports, budgets, specific inquiries, etc.) for the purpose ofsubmitting to the appropriate funding agency.Evaluates degree of match between listed grant priority area andsystem needs for the purpose of matching needs with funding sources.Monitors proposals and funding application requirements (e.g.,presentation, content, delivery method and labeling, deadlines,eligibility for grant, etc.) for the purpose of utilizing time andresources to maximize successful awarding of grant funds.Participates in meetings, workshops, and seminars for the purpose ofconveying and/or gathering information required to performfunctions.Presents concepts, status, and information to a variety of groups(e.g., funding requests, grant applications, identifying underfundedservices, etc.) for the purpose of gaining the requiredadministrative and board approvals, providing progress reports toadministration and funding sources and/or advising other staff ofpotential funding sources.Presents grant workshops for the purpose of increasing districtstaff skills in obtaining funds.Researches grant opportunities (e.g., facility improvements,curriculum development, administrative needs, etc.) for the purposeof developing additional funding resources for both current andproposed services, programs and administrative operations as well asserving as a clearinghouse for potential grant fundingopportunities.Follows District policies, procedures, and directives in a timelyand appropriate manner.Perform such other tasks as may be assigned.
