JOB REQUIREMENTS: (60%) Pre-Award: Grant Research, Project Planning andGrant Development Coordinate and facilitate all aspects of the grantdevelopment for securing funding for educational activities. Responsiblefor developing external grant proposals focusing on state and federalfunding. Complete grant proposals, which include working with a team ofsubject matter experts (administrators, faculty, staff, partners) togather data; design activities; create evaluation plans; assist withbudget development; write, edit, and submit grant applications. Serve asa member of the Lakeshore Grant Council to develop, implement, andevaluate annual and long-range grant funding plans; to identify collegeprojects for which funding is desired and develop strategies to obtainfunding and corresponding timelines. Research and identify potentialgrant sources, including state, federal, and local agencies, companies,and foundations, as well as conduct searches on the internet,newsletters, and other sources. Work collaboratively with externalstakeholders to develop collaborative proposals and partneropportunities. Responsible for data collection for grant development andproposals, including developing reports to fulfill data requests andinform decision-making. Design, create, and distribute standard andspecial reports, studies, summaries, and analyses, as required. Trackcurrent and potential funding by maintaining a spreadsheet/database ofcurrent grant awards and upcoming opportunities. Participate in thedevelopment, revision, and implementation of grant agreements andassociated documents. Respond to requests to write proposals based onneeds identified by Lakeshore leadership team and staff. Participate inWisconsin Technical College System (WTCS) statewide grants initiativesas appropriate. (35%) Post-Award: Grant Implementation, Management,Evaluation and Reporting Initiate grant implementation process includingdeveloping plans that clearly link project goals, outcomes, activities,timeframes, evaluation plan, spending targets, and staff assignments.Provide grant managers with direction and support in the monitoring,tracking, and reporting of grants. Implement fiscal proceduresconsistent with regulations and grant programs. Work with directors andFinancial Services to ensure grant activities and funds are tracked andcompleted. Guide project managers and stakeholders through start-upsteps, rule interpretation and follow-up with agency project officers,alternate acceptable spend down strategies, grant questions, andtechnical report writing of progress and completion. Ensure thatLakeshore complies with federal reporting guidelines determined by thefunding agency. Coordinate the collection and analysis of quantitativeand qualitative data to assist managers in making decisions andsupporting grant activity. Represent the college on consortium grantconferences, meetings and project teams. Coordinate grant projectsincluding reporting, evaluation, and assessment in collaboration withinstitutional research, data governance, and grant managers. Provideexceptional customer service experience to both internal and externalstakeholders throughout every interaction. (5%) MANAGER ESSENTIALRESPONSIBILITIES Oversee grants processes. Responsible for the overalldirection, coordination, and evaluation of this unit. Carryoutmanagerial responsibilities in accordance with the organizationalpolicies and applicable laws to include: Develop plan(s) and budget fordepartment. Address issues in an effective and timely manner. Be anactive advocate for Lakeshore in the community. Be active in the collegeby serving on committees. Teach classes, as requested, based oncourse-identified qualifications. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE ANDQUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor\'s degree in a fieldrelated to business, communication, public administration, or socialscience equired. Three to five years of successful experience in theresearch, development, submission, and administration of government andprivately funded grants.
