Bausch + Lomb Waterford are excited to announce there is an opening for a Manufacturing Graduate to join the Engineering function on a two year program. A applicant's should possess a real passion for engineering and technology and an interest in working in a high volume fast paced manufacturing environment. Our graduate will be eager to develop their skills & talents and drive to be a strong leader within Bausch + Lomb.
Responsibilities
Support manufacturing equipment to ensure KPI are met such as yield throughout and productivity.
Fault-find complex automation equipment and improve fault diagnosis skills within engineering.
Analyse trends to identify improvements and optimisation of automated manufacturing process, and report on findings to operations and engineering management. Enable and engage continuous improvement efforts throughout the site.
Implement systems to improve monitoring and reporting of daily, weekly KPI’s
Provide technical core competency support, including training to operations and maintenance personnel on an as-needed basis, including possible off-hours, remote and onsite coverage rotation.
Liaise cross functionally to support the introduction, development and production ramp of equipment or processes & provide operational support to ensure plant goals are met.
Present, where appropriate, technical data to internal/external audit and inspection groups.
Writing/executing equipment test scripts and protocols and present where appropriate to operations, engineering and quality functions.
Develop relevant work instructions and SOPs.
The ideal candidate will have
Minimum 2.1, Level 8 Degree in Engineering, (preferably Mechanical/ Electronic / Electrical / Automation) Computer Science or equivalent
Good problem solving & analytical skills
Excellent interpersonal & communications skills
Ability to work well within a team and on own initiatives
Good project management experience
Experience with Electrical/mechanical/pneumatic systems
- As part of the graduate program you will be involved in internal secondments, international assignment, training courses, mentoring & presentations to the SLT.
