　　The University of Chicago\'s Department of Ophthalmology and VisualScience seeks full-time Academic Pediatric Ophthalmologists at any rank.Appointees will provide patient care in pediatric ophthalmology. Otherduties will include resident teaching and supervision of trainees andstudents, and scholarly activity. Academic rank and compensation(including a generous package of fringe benefits) depend uponqualifications.

　　Appointees will contribute to medical and surgical management ofpediatric ophthalmology patients, medical education, scholarship, andjoin a vibrant and distinguished community of faculty colleagues andlearners at UChicago Medicine, the Biological Sciences Division, thePritzker School of Medicine, and the University of Chicago and itsaffiliates. We especially welcome applicants with experience withretinopathy of prematurity.

　　Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have amedical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medicallicensure in the State of Illinois, 3) be board certified or boardeligible in ophthalmology; 4) have completed an ACGME-approvedophthalmology residency or its equivalent; and 5) have completed apediatric ophthalmology fellowship.
