VCA Colonial Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team part night nights and weekend shifts to support our growing needs.

　　The successful candidate will provide high quality veterinary medicine and patient care to both the general practice and emergency service —with guidance and mentorship from our LVT team

　　In this position you will be supporting our Doctors and Technician team by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients.Duties will include:

　　Greeting clients, taking medical history, checking clients in and out. Reviewing financial treatment plans

　　Updating clients and inputting medical records

　　Patient assessment and restraint

　　Maintaining medical records.

　　Completing discharges

　　Answering phone calls

　　Filling prescriptions.

　　Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging.

　　Providing compassionate care for hospitalized pets.
