  Description

  We are looking for a talented Global Health & Safety Program Leader to join our filtration team (Atmus Filtration Technologies). The GHS Program Leader manages, develops, and implements complex health, safety and environmental programs in collaboration with cross functional teams. Manages teams directly and/or indirectly and partners with key business stakeholders to ensure a successful project completion. Builds strong relationships across functions within all levels of the organization. Demonstrates a commitment to driving a positive health, safety and environmental culture, coaching others to do the same. Consults with employees giving them the opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of programs, policies and procedures that will have a direct impact on their work environment.

  Experience

  Significant relevant experience required, including team leadership and project management. Experience with Industrial Safety Standards preferred.

  5-7 years of experience, in a high level role.

  This role can be based outside of the US. (Manager's discretion)

  Reporting to the Atmus Filtration Global HSE Director, this role will have responsibility for global implementation of health and safety initiatives that drive continual improvement and best-in-class safety performance.

  The role requires strong leadership skills and behaviors that contribute to creating a positive safety culture.

  This role will focus primarily on improving safety programs associated with machinery, robots-cobot, warehouse-PIV and facility related hazards.

  This will require industry benchmarking of best practices and new technologies that advance our safety controls across our global organization.

  Upon identification of best-practice, the job holder will be expected to create project plans to execute the global implementation and adoption of improved controls, working in partnership with our site HSE Leaders.

  The role will also have the responsibility for supporting the Technical Center operations for Atmus in USA, France, India and China, driving consistency and excellence for HSE performance.

  The job holder should expect to be involved in a diverse range of HSE activities, including HSE management system documentation, training and auditing. Ability to travel to our global sites is a requirement.

  Travel requirement 25% or more, both domestic and international.

  In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  Interprets results from hazard identification, environmental aspect identification and risk assessment programs to identify strategic risk improvement projects and gaps in health, safety and environmental compliance obligations.

  Monitors and measures health, safety and environmental performance metrics, legal compliance findings, and internal and external audit results to identify and prioritize projects using a risk-based data-driven approach.

  Directs project teams to establish project performance goals; designs project plan, develops timeline, identifies project milestones, and tracks performance.

  Manages all project related costs, project risk and project resources. Monitors and communicates project status to respective stakeholders.

  Manages development and maintenance of project related metrics.

  Leads projects from identification through implementation utilizing Cummins approved methodologies. Ensures all stakeholder needs are met using the plan, do, check, act methodology, driving continuous improvement throughout the site(s).

  Manages development of project related support materials for training, skills development and internal communications. Provides training where required.

  Leads development and maintenance of policies, procedures, tools and resources for assigned projects ensuring they are up to date, controlled and available while adhering to data privacy regulations.

  Leads cross-functional teams to define and implement innovative solutions to eliminate or reduce risk to as low as practical.

  Supports site(s) Health, Safety, Environmental Management Systems through participation in site audits.

  Coaches all employees and cross functional teams on health, safety and environmental processes based on stakeholder feedback or observations.

  Coaches and develops direct reports to build capability and team effectiveness. Actively seeks opportunities for self-development through professional health, safety and environmental organizations, as a champion of emerging trends.

  Measurement and Evaluation of Health, Safety and Environment Performance - Collects and analyzes data by creating key performance indicators to evaluate performance trends, deliver improvement goals and objectives, inform strategy and protect employees and the environment.

  Risk Assessment - Evaluates hazards within the work environment by applying hazard identification and risk assessment techniques to analyze and prioritize risk, enabling a selection of control measures that reduce risk as low as reasonably practicable.

  Education, Licenses, Certifications

  College, university, or equivalent degree required. Occupational Health, Safety or Environmental degree preferred.Base salary range: $116,000 - $ 174,000

  Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. The final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate’s qualifications and experience, where appropriate.
