Provide leadership and management for the quality function and sustainthe quality philosophy and culture for the division. Establish, maintainand optimize an effective quality management system. Create andimplement a quality plan to achieve the levels of quality establishedthrough organizational goals, customer expectations, relatedstakeholders and market competition. Enhance and improve the division?sproducts and services through the implementation of ISO 9001, IATF16949, Zero Defects initiatives, problem-solving tools, preventionmethods, quality-at-the-source and continuous improvement techniques.Management Representative for Quality Systems. Reports to the divisionGeneral Manager with dotted line relationship to Engineered MaterialsGroup Quality Director. The Division Quality Manager manages departmentresources and coordinates the implementation of the quality managementsystem between business units and locations to cost-effectivelyfacilitate quality and compliance. Interacts routinely with all divisionfunctional areas, as well as with customers, field sales, regulatoryagencies, group/corporate management, and suppliers. Works closely withthe division General Manager and division staff to set and driveexecution of division strategy. Responsibilites: - Build divisionquality team through attracting, hiring, and retaining high qualityinternal and external talent. - Coach and develop leadership, talentacquisition and development, and engagement within quality function. -Communicates customer, regulatory and organizational requirements toassure product quality, contract compliance and customer satisfaction. -Oversees the effective documentation and implementation of the qualitymanagement system to assure compliance with customer and regulatoryrequirements and the standards set by corporate/division policies. -Works with division leadership to ensure that individuals performingfunctions affecting quality are trained and demonstrate the appropriateskills and performance results. - Coordinates necessary divisionpersonnel for internal, customer and third-party quality systemaudits. - Maintains a corrective action system to analyze and correctnonconforming conditions and complaints. - Implements the neededperformance measurements effectively evaluate organizational performanceand trends in product quality, services, customer satisfaction and thecost of poor quality. Uses the results of performance evaluation totarget improvement efforts. - Collaborate with Supply Chain and EHSfunctions on development & execution of supplier management strategy. -Assess supplier capabilities and monitor supplier quality to ensuredesired levels of performance. - Collaborates with Engineering on newproduct development and design review for quality/reliability issues. -Travel up to 25% to remote manufacturing / customer / supplier locationsfor technical support and training. Qualifications: - B.S. Degree inEngineering or related technical discipline required. M.S. Degree inEngineering or related technical discipline a plus. - Proven expertisein quality management demonstrated through education and at least 12years commensurate work experience required. - At least two years ofexperience managing multi-site & multi-geography quality manufacturingorganizations required. - Thorough knowledge of International StandardISO 9001 QMS and IATF 16949 required. - Certification by the AmericanSociety for Quality (ASQ) as a Certified Quality Engineer (CQE),Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB), or Certified Quality Manager (CQMgr) preferred. - At least five years? experience with qualityimprovement tools and techniques (i.e., Lean, Six Sigma, StatisticalProcess Control, and Failure Mode & Effects Analysis) required. -Demonstrated leadership, project management, facilitation andproblem-solving skills. - Must have ability to thrive in amulti-priority, resu ts
