Description
A company in Valencia is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Payroll/Accounting Clerk with knowledge of HR principles. This role is FULLY ONSITE. The ideal candidate would have 1-2yrs experience in payroll and be familiar with HR principles. You will play a critical part in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our payroll. You will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, from processing payroll to managing accounts payable.
Responsibilities:
Payroll:
Process bi-weekly payroll for salaried and hourly employees, including calculating pay rates, overtime, deductions, and taxes.
Review and approve timesheets for accuracy.
Prepare and distribute paychecks or manage direct deposits.
Monitor payroll taxes and other required reports.
Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters.
Accounting:
Manage accounts payable, processing invoices and payments accurately and timely.
Reconcile vendor statements and other financial accounts.
Prepare and analyze financial reports.
Requirements
Qualifications:
College coursework in related field preferred.
Minimum of 1-2yrs of experience in a payroll.
Proficient in payroll software system Paylocity
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
