Anheuser-Busch InBev Services, LLC is seeking a full-time Global Director, Engineering at our offices in New York, NY. This role will be largely dedicated to BEES, a group within AB InBev which is on a mission to transform the Company’s business-to-business sales model by putting customers and data at its heart. The Global Director, Engineering will lead the engineering department, from hiring and training new team members to managing tech projects and preparing the budget of the team. Specific job duties include the following: 1) Build, grow and lead an organization of globally distributed software engineering teams. 2) Develop the technical and product vision to enable different business models in the BEES ecosystem by partnering with cross-functional teams across Commercial, Product & Engineering. 3) Monitor reliability and performance of all internal systems to suggest improvements. 4) Ensure compliance with security regulations. 5) Manage software development projects by setting requirements, goals and timelines. 6) Organize and manage the engineering department’s budget. 7). Build a healthy, scalable, inclusive, and growth-oriented engineering organization. 8) Perform work using the following tools/technologies/skills: Cloud technologies and modern human-computer interfaces; object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms and problem solving; RESTful services and micro-services; DevOps tools such as Kubernetes, Azure, etc.; Agile projects; Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript; API communication; debugging; software testing concepts (testability, regression, unit, integration, stress, test automation). International travel required once per month.
Job Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field and three (3) years related experience.
Must also have 36 months of experience (which may have been gained concurrently) with each of the following:
Cloud technologies and modern human-computer interfaces. Object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms and problem solving. RESTful services and micro-services; DevOps tools such including Kubernetes, and Azure; Agile projects; at least one of the following programming languages: Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript; API communication. Software testing concepts (testability, regression, unit, integration, stress, test automation) and debugging. Designing and developing marketplace applications for use in consumer-packaged goods industry. Managing projects across cross functional teams for large-scale software applications including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience.
All experience may have been gained concurrently. International travel is required once per month. Supervises 85 subordinates, job titles may include Group Product Manager; Product Managers; Associate Product Managers, Program Manager; Engineering Manager; System & Software Architects; Engineering Coordinators; and Software Engineers.
