The Global Business Unit Demand Planner is responsible for ensuring effective and efficient management, integration, and continuous improvement of Supply Chain management processes and technologies from vendors through to customers and joint venture partners. As part of this scope, it is responsible for logistics planning and forecasting needs for products and services as well as distribution plans; selecting and establishing vendor relationships and obtaining the desired value as well as defining and implementing strategy and process changes that improve turnaround times for optimal procurement of goods and services; the logistics, warehousing, and storage of products; and the efficient and economical movement of goods (e.g., materials, products, equipment) in a compliant manner.
This position is part of the Supply Chain Team and will be located onsite in New Port Richey, Florida.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Overall owner of the IBP process for the Business Unit globally, business partnering with the Product Marketing team, financial controllers, and commercial teams on volume forecasting.
Generates and maintains a monthly SKU/family-level unit demand plan for each sales region, using statistical forecasting and manually overlaying PLCM activities and market insights.
Has the responsibility to set the desired network strategy for the business unit, liaises with the regional planning team to execute on local/regional stocking strategies
Develops relationships with key internal stakeholders in Sales, Marketing, Finance, Logistics, and Customer Service to ensure insights based on facts and with appropriate challenge are incorporated into plans.
Gains alignment on the total forecast with sales leaders and the BU PM’s, highlighting gaps vs. budget and identifying action to close any gap.
The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelor’s or Master's Degree preferred in Business Administration, Technical Engineering, Quality or Aerospace or Industrial related field with 2+ years of work experience
Demonstrated experience in Capacity planning, Demand planning, and IBP/forecasting tools
Demonstrated experience in Supply Chain or Production Operations
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and mathematics skills
Broad ERP experience, preferably in SAP, and high proficiency in Excel
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Experience with demand planning & forecasting tools
Experience working in a Global Supply Chain
