　　Department Details

　　This position will cover Gift Shop employees days off or may be scheduled to assist during busy days.

　　Job Summary

　　Greet all customers. Responsible for selling merchandise, cashier and inventory management in the gift shop. Duties may include opening, closing, ringing up sale purchases, handling money, assisting customers, delivering gifts to patient/resident rooms, light merchandise stocking, visual merchandising the displays, and keeping gift shop clean. Operates helium tank. May check-in freight, determine retail pricing, and receive POS system inventory, which effects inventory management. Provide high level of customer service in assigned area. Provide support in the day-to-day activities of the gift shop. Communicate effectively with customers and co-workers. Experience in retail and sales. Able to handle money and experience with cash registers. Knowledgeable of basic computer skills including Microsoft Windows required.

　　Previous experience in customer service and sales desired. Must have knowledge of operating a cash register and making

　　change. Must be able to provide work direction to volunteers. Must be proficient on Microsoft Office programs.
