We are currently looking for a Supply Chain Planning Manager . This position will provide Supply Chain Planning leadership.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for the patients we serve and an unrelenting desire to improve our business and products. The candidate must have a passion for manufacturing operations, a strong continuous improvement foundation, problem solving skills, interpersonal skills, and be able to work in a high-paced team-oriented environment.
This is an open position based in the Tijuana EL Lago Site,part of the Mexico Hub SC operational Scheduling
A Day in the Life
In this role you will be responsible for all planning, delivery, and day-to-day execution to meet service, cost, and inventory objectives across a range of manufacturing value streams
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Serve as liaison to supply network planning, materials planning and scheduling . finance teams and plant operations with regards to volume planning and plant loading.
Build effective teams and develop direct reports and others.
Function skillfully as the key core team member for large-scale, complex projects providing value that reaches beyond the supply chain role.
Lead supply planning activities for new product launches within areas of responsibility.
Effectively manage the supply chain to meet and exceed KPI’s relating to service levels, Manufacturing Schedule Adherence, Backlog, net requirement attainment, inventory levels/inventory weeks
Drive the Inventory Management Plan for all levels of inventory (RM, WIP and FG). Ensures the plan includes stocking levels to meet customer requirements as well as achieving the company’s financial objectives. Work with other Medtronic facilities to maximize inventory efficiency at a global operations scale.
Champion initiatives to reduce end-to-end supply chain lead-time and costs.
Facilitate communication between Global and Regional Supply Chain groups and plant networks.
Provide global communication of KPI and other related supply chain performance indicators.
Coordinate long range site level capacity planning systems, highlighting risks and opportunities related to capital deployment and ability to meet product demand.
Qualifications - External
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
Bachelors degree required
Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience with 5+ years of managerial experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience with 5+ years of managerial experience
Nice to Have
Degree in Business, Engineering, or Supply Chain
MS/MBA preferred
Medical Device/ Medical Supplies Manufacturing experience
Excellent statistical and mathematics skills
APICs CPIM/CSCP
Software skills including MS Office (Access & Excel focus)
Working knowledge of SAP, JDE and/or BPCS
Demonstrated project management skills
Experience implementing/ utilizing LEAN/Six Sigma techniques a plus.
Knowledge of manufacturing, distribution planning, logistics, warehousing, or transportation.
