　　Our Opportunity

　　We are currently seeking Geotechnical Engineers/Associates for our CivilEngineering Practice in Oakland, CA. We are also hiring in the followingoffice locations: Irvine, CA, Los Angeles, CA, Natick, MA,Denver, CO. In this role you will work as part of a team responsible for theinspection, analysis, and evaluation of root causes of failures ofgeotechnical systems (e.g., foundations, retaining walls, excavationsupport systems, levees, dams, and slopes).

　　You will be responsible for

　　Conducting field inspectionsAssisting with peer review of geotechnical systemsEvaluating construction claimsPreparing conceptual designs for the repair/restoration of damagedgeotechnical systems

　　You will have the following skills and qualifications

　　Ph.D. in Civil Engineering specializing in Geotechnical Engineering from anaccredited university or M.S. plus 5 years' experienceDegrees, experience or related coursework in Geology/GeologicalEngineering, Groundwater/Surface Water Hydrology or Structural Engineeringare a strong plusStrong analytical and critical thinking skills and potential to developsuccessful client relationsAttention to detail, dedication to quality and accuracyDesire to work in a fast paced environmentEffective leadership skillsAbility to work independently or support multiple group projects and tointeract with other engineers, administrative staff, and clientsAbility to gather information from a wide variety of sources (e.g., fieldinvestigations, document reviews, and interviews) and to synthesize andconvey technical conclusions to individuals in engineering, business, andindusKnowledge of geotechnical modeling software, graphing software and imagingsoftware are a strong plusApplicants are encouraged to submit a CV (Curriculum Vitae) withpublications (feel free to include publications that are in review orpending) [not restricted to 1 page].
