Geotechnical Engineering Department Manager

　　PSI, an Intertek company, is searching for a Geotechnical Engineering Department Manager to join our Building & Construction team in our St. Louis, Missouri office. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow a versatile career in the architectural, engineering, and construction (A/E/C) industry!

　　The Department Manager will support the Building and Construction business by overseeing the Geotechnical operations in Tennessee, including mentoring Geotechnical Engineering and technical staff, business development and financial management.

　　The Building & Construction team provides assurance, testing, inspection, and certification services and building science solutions to deliver Total Quality Assurance to the built environment. The team offers the architectural, engineering and construction (A/E/C) industry with a full suite of capabilities both in the lab and on site.

　　What you'll do:

　　Responsible for overall management of Geotechnical Engineering Services, including P&L responsibility

　　Direct and execute Geotechnical project assignments including, engineering analysis and report preparation, field exploration and laboratory services.

　　Provide senior review of proposals and reports and ensure that commitments to clients are met.

　　Client relations and business development activities

　　Responsible for the mentoring and training of senior and junior professional staff and technicians.

　　Actively participate in professional and technical organizations.

　　What it takes to be successful:

　　BS Civil Engineering from and accredited engineering / ABET school required

　　MS in Geotechnical Engineering is highly desired

　　Minimum of 5 years of geotechnical engineering experience required

　　Must have a Professional Engineering License (P.E.)

　　Excellent understanding and knowledge of geotechnical engineering and related disciplines with the ability and desire to provide creative and practical solutions to meet our client’s needs in the Kansas/Missouri market

　　Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential

　　Must speak and write English fluently
