Flux Resources is seeking Geotechnical Engineers to assist with disasterrecovery for flooding in California.Undergraduate Degree with 5 years in field of expertise and professionalregistration or Undergraduate Degree with 10 years in field of expertise.FEMA will require individuals with specific technical expertise to conductsite inspections on sites with major damage (e.g., destroyed facilities;facilities with extensive damage; facilities with significant damage tomechanical, electrical and plumbing components, etc.) to documentdisaster-related damage. These individuals will conduct site inspections tovalidate infrastructure damage and record detailed damage descriptions duringthe inspection to include the following additional tasks:Reviewing and analyzing professional architectural/engineering reports anddesigns or as-built plansThoroughly documenting analyses in writingDeveloping scopes of work, including related code and standard requirementsValidating applicant-provided scopes of work, including related code andstandard requirementsDeveloping and reviewing cost estimatesAdvising FEMA staff on the technical validity of claims presented underFEMA's arbitration process. Should arbitration hearings occur, testify asan expert witness on FEMA's behalf
