Job Title: General Production Worker

Job Description

We are looking for dedicated General Production Workers to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for standing or sitting at a workstation, packing bags coming off machines, stacking boxes on skids, and lifting up to 35 pounds.

Responsibilities

Stand or sit at the workstation.

Pack bags coming off the machines.

Perform visual inspection of plastic bags.

Pack plastic bags into boxes and close and tape the box shut.

Stack boxes on pallets, which could weigh 30-35 pounds.

Lift up to 35 pounds.

Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Essential Skills

Ability to read and write English.

Ability to read a ruler (candidates will have to pass a basic reading assessment and ruler assessment).

Ability to stand on feet for extended periods of time.

Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.

Additional Skills Qualifications

6 months to a year of prior manufacturing experience.

Machine Operating experience.

Work Environment

Work in a very clean and temperature-controlled environment. Our shifts vary, with openings for 1st, 3rd, A, B, C, and D shifts. Dress code includes hair nets, long pants, and company-provided t-shirts and uniforms. No nail polish or fake nails allowed, but makeup and jewelry are permitted. Machine operators do not require steel-toed shoes. Orientations are held on Mondays from 10 am to Noon, with flexibility for immediate starts. You will be working alongside 1-2 other operators and are required to bend and move boxes from the station onto a pallet, potentially lifting up to shoulder or eye height. Water is allowed at workstations, but no headphones are permitted in the production area.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Crystal Lake, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.50
