About General Manager 6329

  JOB REQUIREMENTS: Arrange for equipment maintenance and repairs, andcoordinate a variety of services, such as waste removal and pestcontrol. Assess staffing needs and recruit staff, using methods such asnewspaper advertisements or attendance at job fairs. Coordinateassignments of cooking personnel to ensure economical use of food andtimely preparation. Count money and make bank deposits. Establish andenforce nutritional standards for dining establishments, based onaccepted industry standards. Establish standards for personnelperformance and customer service. Estimate food, liquor, wine, and otherbeverage consumption to anticipate amounts to be purchased orrequisitioned. Greet guests, escort them to their seats, and presentthem with menus and wine lists. Investigate and resolve complaintsregarding food quality, service, or accommodations. Keep recordsrequired by government agencies regarding sanitation or food subsidies.Maintain food and equipment inventories, and keep inventory records.Monitor budgets and payroll records, and review financial transactionsto ensure that expenditures are authorized and budgeted. Monitorcompliance with health and fire regulations regarding food preparationand serving, and building maintenance in lodging and dining facilities.Monitor employee and patron activities to ensure liquor regulations areobeyed. Monitor food preparation methods, portion sizes, and garnishingand presentation of food to ensure that food is prepared and presentedin an acceptable manner. Order and purchase equipment and supplies.Organize and direct worker training programs, resolve personnelproblems, hire new staff, and evaluate employee performance in diningand lodging facilities. Perform some food preparation or service tasks,such as cooking, clearing tables, and serving food and drinks whennecessary. Record the number, type, and cost of items sold to determinewhich items may be unpopular or less profitable. Review menus andanalyze recipes to determine labor and overhead costs, and assign pricesto menu items. Review work procedures and operational problems todetermine ways to improve service, performance, or safety. Schedule andreceive food and beverage deliveries, checking delivery contents toverify product quality and quantity. Schedule staff hours and assignduties. Supply sufficient levels of product tomaintain customer satisfaction by overseeing and participating inroutine ordering and inventory practices. Ensure the restaurant remainsclean and provides a safe environment by utilizing maintenance and foodsafety guidelines. Be adaptable to a variety of situations to supportyour team\'s abilities and knowledge to handle their roles in meetingcustomer needs. Remain calm and utilize your knowledge to help diffuseand resolve customer issues and employee wellness concerns. Ensure allmarketing plans are executed on time and accurately to build repeatcustomer visits. Review profit and loss statements and progress towardgoals with the District Manager each period. Take action to solveproblems as necessary. Make positive and inspiring relationships withcustomers and coworkers to fulfill yours and their quality of life.
