Job Title: Commissioning Manager of Renewable EnergyJob Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and self-motivated Commissioning Manager for our portfolio of renewable energy projects. This position is responsible for the execution of assigned renewable power plant projects and teams as it relates to commissioning, start-up, and operational turnover. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to quality, execution, and safety.
Responsibilities:
Ensure high-quality commissioning activities for assigned projects, adhering to all safety policies.
Coordinate and manage contractor personnel, OEM start-up personnel, third-party start-up contractors, and operations personnel on site.
Ensure project reliability at operational turnover with minimal lost time in initial operation.
Ensure compliance with all project contractual documents, including Power Purchase Agreement and Large Generator Interconnect Agreement deliverables with local utility.
Manage the client's onsite commissioning personnel.
Interface with project's designated safety, engineering, and quality control parties.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Hard Skills:
Electrical construction and commissioning knowledge including NEC and NFPA.
Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) integration and troubleshooting.
E&I controls and instrumentation installation, startup and troubleshooting.
Protection and Controls implementation and troubleshooting.
Drawing review quality control inspection.
Progress reporting.
Proficient in Outlook, PDF edit Word, Excel, document control systems and PowerPoint.
Management of third parties and suppliers.
Schedule and planning understanding.
Soft Skills:
Minimum of 5 years experience in on-site project support for renewable power generation project construction start-up and commissioning.
Minimum of 3 years experience working for an EPC in renewable power generation project construction start-up and commissioning.
Ability to interact with engineering personnel on highly technical issues and with construction personnel on constructability, schedule, and cost issues.
Ability to multi-task and oversee multiple projects at once.
Contract Details:
This is a contract position. The successful candidate will need to report to specific site locations.
