The GeneralMaintenance Custodian is responsible for maintaining overall cleanlinessof the facility and performing preventative maintenance in thefacilities. Job Responsibilities: Inspectbuildings to determine functional systems and detect malfunctions andneeded repair Perform minor plumbing maintenance (e.g. Replacement orrepair of leaks in drains and faucets, unclogging of drains, replacingdrain hoses, etc.) Perform painting and carpentry (e.g. preparingsurfaces and using brush, sprayer, or roller to apply paints and stains,hanging doors, fitting locks and handles, etc.) Perform preventativemaintenance on equipment per manufacturer recommendations Clean offices,hallways, lobbies, break areas, restrooms, parking lots and other workareas. Use equipment (mops, brooms, etc.) and chemicals as appropriateto keep buildings clean Empty garbage cans and dispose of waste Refilldispensers of soap, disposable cups, and other consumables Coordinatewith management to ensure adequate supply of chemicals and consumablesMove office supplies using various dollies and hand trucks Additionaltasks as assigned by manager Job Requirements Valid Driver\'s Licenseand ability to pass pre-employment driver\'s file Prior experience ingeneral maintenance Basic knowledge of plumbing systems Ability toeffectively communicate with customers and co-workers Ability to readand verify work order information Ability to lift, carry, or move up to50 pounds If you have experience as a carpenter, maintenance technician,laborer, janitor or in general like the idea of working with your handsthen this is the role for you.
