JOB REQUIREMENTS: General Labor - 026376 DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:Job Requisition #: 026376 General Labor (Evergreen) (Open) JobDescription: Key Responsibilities The responsibilities of GeneralLaborer can vary from day to day depending on the customer orders beingrun at any time. The job of the General Laborer is to assist in runningthe rewinder, to assist with processing the rolls, including ejectingrolls, banding, packaging, labelling, cutting cores, setting up the nextcore and transporting finished rolls. During a paper break recovery theGeneral Laborer plays a roll in re-threading the paper machine bypassing a tail, feeding into the ropes, and feeding the pope reel.Housekeeping is an integral part of the job and the employee is expectedto pick up any hay/paper on the floor, sweep up and blow down the areato keep it clean. Besides assisting at the rewinder, the employee isrequired to drive a forklift or clamp truck to transport rolls to thewarehouse or broke to the waste yard. The employee is required to climbsteps around the machine. Additional duties may include transporting ofbales (fiber), preparing bales for use by cutting wires and loading ontoa conveyor, and loading trucks, or any others as assigned.
