Overview

　　Under direct supervision, opens and closes parking garage; monitors customer traffic and collects monies; monitors security cameras; deposits cash drawer balance; and performs other duties as required.

　　Duties and Responsibilities

　　Collects daily parking fees and monthly parking dues from customers

　　Reconciles cash drawer balances at the end of each shift

　　Deposits daily cash drawer balance when closing the garage

　　Ensures proper operation of ticket machines and card machines

　　Provides customer assistance by giving directions, and verifying customers who forget their access cards

　　Monitors garage security cameras for suspicious activity or dangerous conditions

　　Reports accidents and incidents to proper authorities

　　Maintains the cleanliness of the parking areas, stairways and elevators

　　May perform other maintenance duties as assigned

　　Monitors inventory levels and requisitions supplies

　　Performs other duties as required

　　Minimum Qualifications

　　Graduation from High School or General Education Development (GED) certificate

　　Knowledge of safety standards and practices

　　Skill in the operating a cash register

　　Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations; ability to effectively communicate and respond to customer inquiries and complaints; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, County employees and the general public

　　Rotating shifts

　　Must secure and maintain a favorable background check

　　Must be able and willing to attend training at department's discretion

　　Working Conditions and Physical Demands:

　　Working conditions are frequently outdoors with exposure to temperature variations; occasional exposure to damp/wet surfaces, cramped areas, noise, fumes, and dust

　　Physical requirements include frequently lifting/carrying of 10-25 lbs and occasionally 60lbs; visual acuity, speech and hearing; hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate cash register
