　　Position Overview

　　As part of a growing firm in the asset management industry, the candidate will have a diverse set of responsibilities within the finance and accounting areas. The candidate will work directly with various teams, including Operations, Treasury, and Investor Relations. The candidate will report to the Controller and Director of Accounting. Candidate will be responsible for fund accounting and reporting. This company is growing their presence in the Chicago area. Role will report to Director of Accounting

　　Primary Responsibilities

　　Responsible for a set of funds that includes recording transactions in the GL, reconciling cash and positions daily

　　Work in various bank accounts that includes cash movements between entities

　　Preparing quarterly/annual financial statements

　　Preparing capital call and distribution notices

　　Maintaining and updating various schedules relating to the portfolio and fund performance metrics quarterly/annual

　　Assisting in process improvements and implementations

　　Preparing adhoc reports

　　Preparing quarterly/annual regulatory filings

　　Preparing capital account statements

　　Working in the investor portal

　　Assisting with the annual audits

　　Must be proficient in excel

　　Requirements

　　Desired Skills & Experience

　　The candidate must have 1-3 years of public/private experience.

　　A bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance is required.

　　Bank staff accountant who is accounting for loans currently

　　Must have experience with financial statements and working in an accounting software preferably FIS Investran.

　　Public accounting or private equity/ debt background a plus.

　　Candidate must be willing to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multi-task.
