Description

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Dispatcher in Springdale, Ohio. The role involves coordinating and managing the shipment and dispatch of trucks, maintaining key logistical records, and communicating with drivers to ensure timely and efficient delivery.

Responsibilities

• Schedule shipments and dispatch trucks to ensure on-time delivery in compliance with company policies.

• Communicate regularly with drivers as directed by the Operations Manager.

• Collaborate with the Operations Manager to secure additional drivers as needed to meet capacity demands.

• Handle shipper or consignee complaints regarding lost or damaged merchandise or shortages in shipments and determine responsibility.

• Update Revenue per Hour (RPH) spreadsheet weekly to assess the efficiency of each driver.

• Understand that the job extends beyond the specific responsibilities detailed here and be ready to take on other duties as needed.

Requirements • Demonstrated experience in dispatching and logistics

• Proficiency in customer service, with the ability to communicate effectively

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple assignments

• Proficient in using dispatching software and systems

• Capable of working in a fast-paced, high-stress environment

• Ability to work in a team and collaborate effectively with others

• Willingness to work in shifts, during weekends, holidays, and in emergencies if required

• High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification.
