  What you will be able to do

  Support the development and integration of Functional Safety (FuSa) work products on future vehicle program applications for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).

  Lead the FuSa Systems Safety development including the development of the System Safety Concept, technical safety requirements (TSRs), verification and acceptance criteria methods for next generation microcontroller and microprocessor designs.

  Lead the cascade of TSRs to the hardware and software elements including the complete requirement traceability of the system/feature TSRs to the h/w and s/w requirements.

  Support the development of Interface specifications, FMEAs, FTAs, robustness discipline design, and dependent fault analysis for safety related functions and features.

  Understand the performance requirements for the sensing system relative to the ASIL rated features to ensure correct sensor performance envelop for the specific vehicle application as it relates to functional safety requirements.

  Support identification of vehicle application specific potential hazards and Safety Goals with associated Automotive Safety Integrity Level (ASIL) ratings for ADAS features.

  Ensure Successful application of the functional safety process for ADAS features on forward model vehicle programs.

  Closely coordinate with feature development engineers to support execution of functional safety design verification plans to ensure proper feature-level performance.

  Support Sign-off of Feature Level performance per a given vehicle with respect to functional safety.

  Support the development of the safety case through the ISO26262 safety analysis methodologies.

  You'll have...

  Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field

  1+ year of functional safety experience

  2+ year experience with embedded hardware and/or software design (coursework/internship/co-op experience allowed)

  Even better, you may have...

  Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering or Computer Engineering or related field

  5+ years of experience with automotive product development working with ADAS safety systems utilizing the ISO 26262 standards.

  3+ years of functional safety experience

  3+ year experience with embedded hardware and/or software design

  Experience with Engineering specification development, requirements development, FMEA, DVPR, FTA, and bench, subsystem, system level testing.

  Experience with computer vision and tracking of humans or pedestrians.

  Experience with the development of automotive sensors (e.g. cameras, radars, etc.) and ECUs

  Experience reviewing, categorizing and analyzing field data to determine error states/failure modes

  Experience developing system specifications, conducting technical design reviews, working with interfacing functional organizations and verification/validation methods for ADAS features/functions.

  Software engineering and algorithm development experience

  Development time with languages (e.g. C, C++, Python, Matlab, etc.)
