The ideal candidate for the job is a kind and nurturing educator with an ability to instill a love of learning in his/her students. Our teachers create their own lesson plans (that are reviewed weekly by our Director and/or Assistant Director) and should contain a variety of challenging and fun activities that meet the curriculum. Our children love learning about the world around them so we invite teachers to bring some of their own interests and passions into the classroom daily.  Some of the other responsibilities in this position include: Meeting the individual needs of the children; communication with parents; participation in staff and training meetings; interacting with the children to support play, exploration, and learning; presenting expectations that are appropriate to the child’s age and developmental level; planning and implementing lessons that develop self-esteem and social skills; communicating appropriately and professionally with parents and fellow staff; building teamwork and committing to continuing education. Teacher Qualifications include: Bachelor’s Degree and/or Child Development Associate Credential (CDA).
