Your role

　　We're looking for a Software Engineer to:

　　• design, develop, and improve the digital products and technology services we provide to our internal clients and employees

　　• apply a broad range of software engineering practices, from analyzing user needs and developing new features to automated testing and deployment

　　• ensure the quality, security, reliability, and compliance of our solutions by applying our digital principles and implementing both functional and non-functional requirements

　　• build observability into our solutions to monitor production health, help to resolve incidents, and remediate the root cause of risks and issues

　　• continuously up-skill, learn new technologies and practices, reuse strategic platforms and standards, evaluate options, and make decisions with long-term sustainability in mind

　　You'll be working in an agile and autonomous team in the Group Operations & Technology Office (GOTO) in Weehawken, New Jersey with the option to work from home for up to two days per week.

　　Your expertise

　　• high proficiency and ideally 8+ years of technical experience in at least two of the following technologies / programming languages: Java, .NET, API Management, ETL tools (e.g. Informatica, Azure Data Framework, Databricks), Spark (Scala/Python), CSS, HTML5, AngularJS, Maven, Java Spring, designing and implementation of SQL and NoSQL databases

　　• strong experience in providing and integrating API's in a service-oriented architecture

　　• strong experience in user centric design / UX design

　　• a proven track of work experience in cloud (MS Azure platform preferred) in an agile SDLC environment, leveraging modern programming languages, DevOps, and test-driven development

　　• a relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent

　　• a strong communicator, fluent in English, from making presentations to technical writing
