Description Robert Half is looking for an efficient Full Charge Bookkeeper to take on an exciting job opportunity in the Construction/Contractor industry. If you excel at multitasking, communication, organization, and time management, this opportunity with the potential for growth could be for you. You will be responsible for all general accounting and bookkeeping functions, such as preparing financial statements, and establishing and maintaining accounting principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives. The long-term contract / temporary to hire Full Charge Bookkeeper will work in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Your responsibilities
Handling processing tasks for accounts payable and accounts receivable, including collections
Supervising tasks of accounting clerks and entry-level bookkeepers
Tracking fixed assets to produce depreciation schedules
Preparing the trial balance and financial statements, including, but not limited to, balance sheet, income statement, and statement of cash flows
Maintaining adherence to federal, state, and local legal requirements by keeping up to date on them, filing reports, and advising management on needed actions
Maintaining historical records by filing documents
Ensuring correct and punctual monthly, quarterly and year end close
Completing bank and general ledger reconciliations; processing payroll Requirements - Proficient at analyzing financial data and promptly creating accurate reports
3+ years of bookkeeping experience
A deep understanding of accrual and cash basis of accounting
High school diploma or similar certification with an AA degree or higher in Accounting or Business recommended
Excel, Quickbooks, and Peachtree experience a plusExperience with payroll preferred
Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
Strong organization skills
Ability to multitask and attention to detail are critical
Demonstrated flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures
Experience with Sage 300
Accounts Receivable (AR) experience
Deep understanding of payroll
General familiarity with Quarterly Taxes
Adeptness in general ledger
Demonstrated knowledge of New Hire Orientations
Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)
Foundational knowledge in payroll for under 100 employees
