Security BenefitAcademy is hiring for part-time Teachers to provide classroom coveragein our child care center. Teachers will be working with infants to Pre-Kand responsible for executing an ongoing program of activities that meetthe childrens basic developmental needs and self-care skills of ourchildren. Individuals selected must be able to maintain a positive, warmand encouraging environment for children and interact with them in apositive and loving manner. Also, the Teachers must be able to maintaina positive and supportive relationship with parents and otherassociates. The Academy hours of operation are from 7 am 5:30 pm, Mondaythrough Friday. Job Duties: Carry out appropriate developmentalactivities with the class. Continuously supervise and interact withchildren, individually and in groups. Monitor the safety of children intheir care while in the classroom as well as on the playground or at anactivityEstablish and maintain open and positive communications withparents and associates adhere to all licensing regulations, as well aschildcare center policies and procedures. Interact with parents throughemail and meetings to keep parents apprised of childs progress.Requirements: At least 18-years-old High School diploma or equivalent.Experience working with children at a licensed child care facility. Arespectful and caring mindset toward children. Basic understanding ofchild growth and development. Good verbal and written communicationskills. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to functioneffectively as part of a team. A positive attitude. Light to mediumlifting required and the ability to keep up with active young childrenand work inside and outside all year. Ability to work varioushours/schedules with various age children and able to work on a on-callbasis. Able to use Microsoft Office to input data and communicate to orwith parents. Able to walk and stand for long periods of time. Able touse hands and fingers to handle or feel children/infants, small objects,controls and to care for the children. Able to repeatedly reach withhands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, twist, squat, climb orcrawl. Able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds, and in case of anemergency a 50-pound child.
