JOB SUMMARY
• The Controller will supervise and coordinate the Accounting Operations for our hotel collection at Patriot Place Foxborough.
• Ensure accurate, timely and consistent reporting in accordance with policies and procedures, GAAP and federal, state and local laws and regulations.
• Assist and support the General Managers in maintaining control over income, expenses and the assets and liabilities of the hotel.
• Position is responsible for the daily operation of Payroll, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Income Journal, General Cashiering, Taxes and internal controls. Colwen Hotels is a hospitality group built on hard work, character, and authenticity.

• Ensure compliance with property internal controls, Colwen SOPs, and safeguard property assets Manage all daily processes in accounting systems including accurate and timely reporting of daily revenue, including verification of deposit clearings.
• Accounts Receivable functions including collection calls as needed As an executive committee member of the hotel attend business meetings as needed Oversee.
• Accounts Payable with department heads, including reviewing vendor statements and timeliness of invoice processing in PlateIQ.
• Ensure excellent guest experience by overseeing/troubleshooting the resolution of billing-related issues in assigned hotels Monitor house funds, including cashier variances, providing coaching and disciplinary action, as required.
• Perform month-end tasks and general ledger items, working with the Corporate Accounting team to complete financial reporting .
• Provide the General Manager and department heads with profitability and financial analysis to include labor reviews, forecasts, and budget
• Oversee the employee timekeeping and tip processing, process edits, approve timecards for payroll with the department heads.
• Perform technical and administrative duties, including, but not limited to; writing and reviewing reports, e.g. profit and loss, yield management, capital planning, payroll, etc.
Other related duties as assigned Requirements:
• Two to five years’ experience as an Accounting Manager/ Controller in a comparable hotel Relevant bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience Accounting designation preferred (CA, CGA, CMA)
• Understanding of GAAP and USALI Thorough knowledge of PMS, POS, Accounting, and Payroll systems
• Experience using Sage Intacct, Profitsword, PlateIQ, or UKG preferred Strong public speaking skills, interpersonal and written communication skills Outstanding attention to detail, organization, decision-making, and analytical skills
• Ability to manage time, meet imposed deadlines, and the ability to work flexible hours and weekends as necessary
• Proven problem-solving skills and encourage new innovative solutions when appropriate
