Under thesupervision of the Hall Supervisor, the Assistant Supervisor (AS) helpsto support the day-to-day milieu and operations of the hall inaccordance with the hall schedule, policies and procedures, licensingrequirements, placing agency expectations, and best practice standards.The AS ensures hall services and activities take place, and addressesyouth needs according to their plans (i.e., treatment, safety, guidance,etc.). The AS has direct reports and will ensure supervision meetingstake place on a consistent basis. The AS will work in collaboration withthe Hall Supervisor to maintain the activity schedule each week. The ASserves as a role model, provides consistent support, coaching, andguidance for employees as they address youth needs and helps employeesimplement trauma informed principles, uses and teaches de-escalationtechniques, and serves as a resource. The AS also serves as the pointperson for communication and handling crises by delegatingresponsibilities or directly handling those emergent needs. The ASeffectively communicates employee and program recommendations to theHall Supervisor, Hall Manager, and Director of Group Care. The ASroutinely serves in the role of Leader on Duty (LOD).
