About Forklift Mechanic

  First Shift: 6am to 3 pm $32.00/hr. - $34.00/hr. paid weekly.

  Perform maintenance and repairs on a wide range of forklift models, including but not limited to engine, transmission, brakes, and hydraulic systems. Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical and mechanical problems accurately. Replace and repair damaged or worn parts using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities. Conduct safety checks and ensure that forklifts meet all safety regulations and standards. Assist in the procurement of spare parts and maintain an organized inventory. Collaborate with the operations team to schedule maintenance and repairs to minimize downtime. Stay up to date with industry advancements and best practices in forklift maintenance. Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures. Perform routine inspections of facilities to identify maintenance and repair needs. Repair and maintain electrical systems, including wiring, fixtures, and outlets. Troubleshoot and repair plumbing systems, such as leaks, faucets, and pipes. Conduct HVAC maintenance, including filter replacement and system checks. Address general repairs and maintenance tasks, such as painting, carpentry, and drywall repairs. Monitor and maintain building security systems and fire alarms. Collaborate with external contractors for specialized repairs when necessary. Maintain an organized inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and maintain a safe work environment. Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies promptly. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in forklift repair preferred. Proven experience as a forklift mechanic or similar role. Strong knowledge of forklift systems, engines, and hydraulic systems. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment. Safety-conscious mindset and adherence to safety protocols. Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed. Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general maintenance systems. Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools effectively. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
