JOB REQUIREMENTS: Primary Responsibility: Under general supervision,Lift Truck Operator (LTO), Warehouse Worker will ensure safe andaccurate receipt, storage, and shipment of food products utilizingequipment including, but not limited to sit down and stand up forklifts,stand up straddle trucks, walk behinds, pallet jacks, double palletjacks and radio frequency equipment. Essential Functions: Load andunload freight using equipment in an efficient and safe manner. Moveproduct to storage areas with proper equipment. Efficiently stack andsafely store the merchandise in the designated area. Pick orders forshipment and assemble various types of merchandise to be shipped. Checkor count freight for accuracy and/or damage and infestation. Assist inmaintaining the security of the warehouse. Conduct operations in amanner, which promotes safety. Participate in physical inventories, asneeded. As directed by management, perform labeling, sorting, wrapping,packing, and repacking. Operate equipment safely and efficiently.Equipment to include (but not limited to) stand up forklifts, stand upstraddle trucks, walk behinds, pallet jacks, double pallet jacks andradio frequency equipment. Promptly Report all safety malfunctions onequipment. Comply with OSHA standards. Must be able to meet productionstandards. Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work environment. Followattendance policy, show up for work on time and ready to work assignedshift. Charge or change forklift battery as needed. Perform other dutiesas assigned, may be required to perform duties outside of their normalresponsibilities from time to time, as needed. Tools and Technology:Computer, Warehouse management system and related components, PalletJack, high lift, sit down or stand up lift truck, Hi-lift, RCQualifications & Experience: High school diploma or general educationdegree (GED) preferred, or at least one year related work experience.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Requires ability to work independentlyMay work overtime, evenings, or weekends in order to complete work or toattend meetings, as directed and authorized by management Requires theability to pay close attention to details, and meet deadlines PhysicalRequirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must beable to perform the essential functions for this position and meet thephysical requirements needed to perform them, including but not limitedto frequently requiring the ability to drive a fork lift, sit; hear ortalk: use close vision; use hands to grasp, handle or feel objects; andtype and manipulate controls.
