　　Harborview Medical Center – Food & Nutrition Services has an outstanding opportunity for a FOOD SERVICE WORKER . This is a temporary position.

　　WORK SCHEDULE

　　Likely shift will be 6 or 7:30 am - 2:30 or -4:00 pm

　　Performs a variety of duties including preparing and serving food, maintaining sanitary conditions of kitchen facilities, and serving food on cafeteria line. PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBLITIES

　　Washes, peels, cuts up vegetables and fruits; opens canned goods

　　Makes beverages and assembles salads, sandwiches, and desserts

　　Transports food, supplies, and equipment to and from kitchen, dining areas, storerooms, and refrigerators

　　Serves food individually or from steam tables and carts; loads and clears steam tables and carts

　　Washes dishes, trays, pots, pans, and utensils and scrubs, mops, and cleans kitchen, refrigeration, garbage areas and floors

　　Stocks work areas, including nursing unit pantries, practices First In First Out (FIFO) methods to minimize waste

　　Operates standard kitchen appliances and equipment (e.g. coffee maker, toaster, dish and glass washers, mixers, dish machine) REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Possession of, or eligible for, a food handler's permit.
