JOB REQUIREMENTS: The Food Service Assistant 2 performs the dutiesassociated with a large and complex food service program. Duties includeportioning product, vegetable cleaning and preparation, tray line posts,bagging flatware, ware-washing, making toast, cleaning and sanitation,dining rooms, pots and pans, delivery, and pick-up, pouring coffee,slicing, and buttering bread, assembling nourishments and snacks, andassisting and training new staff. Duties may include working in diningrooms, nourishment, or snack program. This position works as an integralpart of the food service team. We have the following types of FoodService Assistant 2 positions (Applicant preferences will be collectedat time of interview.): Full-time (40 hours per week) positions; 10-hourshifts (Core Shifts: 6:00am to 4:30pm, 8:15am to 6:45pm). Incumbent mustwork varying hours and/or overtime shifts as required. Ability tovolunteer for additional shifts. Part-time, 60% (24 hours per week)positions; 8-hour shifts (primary shift 8:00am to 4:30pm and othershifts as needed (e.g., 6:00am-2:30pm)). Incumbent can only be mandatedup to one 10-hour shift per pay period. Ability to volunteer foradditional shifts. Job duties require the ability to perform work thatis medium to heavy in nature. This position frequently lifts up to 50pounds, push/pulls up to 80 pounds, hand grips up to 30 pounds, pinchesup to 15 pounds, sits, stands, walks, bends, reaches, climbs, and useshand coordination. Employment in this position is contingent upon passing apre-employment tuberculosis (TB) skin test.
