Job Title: Food Safety Quality Specialist

Job Description

Responsible for supporting QA activities for the company, ensuring finished products are available for distribution in a timely manner, and supporting the Quality Management Systems in place. Tasks include verifying and entering testing results into LIMS, partnering with external laboratories, providing timely resolutions to helpdesk tickets related to quality, supporting businesses with quality management systems, participating in cross-functional projects as a subject matter expert, and facilitating updates to product formulas and specifications. Additionally, the role involves supporting the Supplier program, providing QA/RA metrics, supplying Certificates of Analyses to customers, and assisting with special projects for the Central Quality Food Safety Management.

Qualifications

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a science-related field.

Computer skills required (Windows, MSOffice Suite, LIMS, Infor).

Experience in a quality support role at a plant or corporate environment is highly beneficial.

Work Environment

SHIFT: 8 - 4 pm, Monday - Friday. This office facing position is part of the Central Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs team, reporting to the Central Quality and Food Safety Manager, and working alongside three other associates. The role involves no lab work and is based within a general office environment, occasionally within a manufacturing setting with exposure to noise and other elements. Physical requirements include sitting for extended periods, operating a computer, recording data, and the ability to communicate effectively.
