Founded in 1877 a small group of Sisters of Charity of Nazareth in Kentucky led by Sister Euphrasia Stafford began their health ministry. Their mission was to provide compassionate care to the poor and underserved – a tradition still carried out today. Saint Joseph Hospital primarily serves central and eastern Kentucky with a full range of services including distinguished awards for cardiology orthopedics and stroke care. 　　Responsibilities

　　As our Surgical Tech, you’ll prepare the operating room for a variety of surgeries. We can’t operate without you.

　　The operating room (OR) runs as a team; every person on the team has an important role that directly impacts the patient. Your success in this role comes from your adaptability and enthusiasm to work with a team taking patients from a diseased process to a healing process.

　　Prepare the operating room for assigned surgical procedures with proper instrumentation and sterilization

　　Navigate the nuances of surgical procedures and surgeons you’ll be supporting

　　Adapt to the needs of emergency situations

　　Provide clean-up and turnover of operating room to prepare for next patient

　　Qualifications

　　MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

　　Required Education for Staff Job Levels: Graduate from an accredited surgical technology program

　　Required Licensure and Certifications: Certified surgical technologist (CST), Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

　　Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Manual dexterity and strong attention to detail. Experience with

　　varied high tech surgical equipment.

　　PREFERRED Qualifications: One year perioperative services experience preferred

　　$23.98 - $34.78 /hour
