　　rResponsibilities

　　rFleming Scholars work for 8 weeks in the summer (June 3 - July 26,2024) in state-of-the-art biomedical research laboratories onindividual projects and are supervised by senior members of the OMRFscientific staff. Scholars attend weekly seminars as well as occasionalsocial events as a group. On the final day of the program, scholars giveformal scientific seminars outlining the findings of their projects.Each scholar also writes an abstract summarizing their summer project.

　　OMRF will provide dormitory housing free of charge to all students wholive outside of the OKC Metro area (defined as a 40-mile radius fromOMRF).

　　rQualifications

　　rrrrTo apply for the Fleming Scholar Program, applicants MUST be: AnOklahoma resident at the time of high school graduation At least 16years of age Classified as a high school senior or college freshman,sophomore or junior at the time of application. A United States citizenor permanent resident or have unrestricted employment authorization inaccordance with applicable Immigration and Naturalization Serviceregulations (example: J-2 with Employment Authorization Document).Applicants with an H-4 visa are not eligible to apply. Willing and ableto commit to the programs entire eight-week time frame, which begins thefirst Monday following Memorial Day.No research experience isnecessary.rrrr
