Fleet Technician II

Our Fleet Operations Department is responsible for repairing and servicing our more than 2,000 fleet vehicles. We are hiring a Fleet Technician to provide onsite fleet services for light, medium, and heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and other equipment with experienced technicians to advance your career. Our fleet is made up of vehicles from Ford, Chevy, Peterbilt, Caterpillar, and Kenworth. Your work will ensure our fleet is in top condition, allowing you to stay on top of advanced technologies and provide daily exposure to positive challenges.

Please note that the work schedule for this position is Monday-Friday, 2:30 pm – 11:00 pm, and is eligible for shift differential pay.

A day in the life of a Fleet Technician may include:

Repairing, cleaning, replacing, installing, and modifying defective, missing, or malfunctioning components of mechanical, hydraulic, fuel, electrical, braking, steering, pumping, and other related vehicle systems

Modifying, repairing, and reassembling major automotive components and assemblies, including gasoline and/or diesel engines, automatic and standard transmissions, differentials, and front-end assemblies

Repairing and maintaining sanders, plows, and related snow removal equipment and systems

Performing customer service or garage functions, including topping off fluids, adjusting tire pressures, replacing wiper blades, and other minor services

Performing automotive inspections, diagnostics, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of vehicles and light/heavy equipment

Who You Are

Minimum 2 years of experience in a fleet or automotive mechanic environment

Knowledge of and experience with preventative maintenance methodologies and tools

Possession of 4 Light Duty ASE OR 3 Heavy Duty Certifications OR equivalent manufacturer-related training is required

Master ASE certification is valued

Possession of a valid, unrestricted driver’s license is required; possession of a Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) must be obtained within six (6) months of hire

Starting pay will be determined within the posted pay range based on the experience, education, and training of the successful candidate; if there is a single pay rate posted, the job starts at that rate.
