Overview and Essential Functions
Summary of Position:
A successful Fleet Specialist shall assist with the administration of vehicle operation program by overseeing fleet operations and reporting back to field offices. The Asset Coordinator should have an immediate understanding of asset location, condition, and assignment. At a minimum, the position requires a good working knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations, maintenance schedules, load securement, and inventory auditing procedures; proficient in the use of word processing and spreadsheet software with emphasis on Microsoft Office; ability to use a computer and other office related equipment; ability to read, understand, interpret, input, and analyze data.
Essential Functions:
In order to perform this job, you must demonstrate, either by training or experience:
• the ability to manage all locations's fleet/assets;
• the ability to track/issue/transfer of all fleetm tools, and IT assets;
• the ability to manage repair & maintain fleet/assets;
• the ability to ensure timely required inspections on all fleet items;
• the ability to manage and ensure timely completion of claims related to assets;
• the ability to manage and ensure timely completion of asset deviations;
• the ability to conduct asset audits as required, including annual asset audit;
Responsibilities:
• Completion of low level tasks in support of an assigned department/project.
• Receive, organize, file, and maintain documents and/or data for an assigned department/project.
• Create, update, validate and forward various forms of communication to internal and external recipients.
• Read, interpret, and input data in support of an assigned department/project.
• Additional Duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Prior work related experience.
• Proficient in the use of office hardware and software. (PCs, Tablets, Printers, Copiers, Microsoft, Google, etc.)
• Excellent Customer Service skills and strong English language skills both oral and written.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen, background, and motor vehicle record check.
Workplace Environment and Physical Demands:
To be considered for this position, a candidate must possess the ability to sit for long periods of time, while using repetitive and/or fine hand movements to complete computer related tasks and/or other office functions. Work is performed indoors and in a typical office environment.
